Bavarian apple tarte

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 tsp vanilla
1 cup flour
8 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
4 cups apple slices
1/4 cup sliced almonds

DIRECTIONS
Cream butter, sugar, vanilla. Blend in flour spread dough onto bottom and sides of pan. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar egg and vanilla. Pour into pastry pan. Combine sugar, cinnamon, toss apples in mixture and put over cheese layer. Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
